2026 FOREIGN PRESS AWARDS
The Foreign Press Awards are the premier annual celebration of the international correspondents’ community in the United States. Established by the Association of Foreign Press Correspondents in the USA (AFPC-USA), the Awards bring together leading foreign and American journalists, media executives, public officials, diplomats, academics, institutional leaders, and representatives of the private sector for an evening recognizing the enduring importance of international journalism.
The 2026 Foreign Press Awards black-tie gala will take place on December 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM, in the Ballroom of the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

CARLA BABB
Carla Babb has covered national security and foreign policy for nearly two decades. From 2014 until the administration revoked most Pentagon press credentials in 2025, Babb reported daily from the Pentagon, where she questioned senior military leaders, traveled to war zones with Secretaries of Defense and top generals, and reported on all aspects of the military. Currently the national security correspondent for Newsmax, Babb previously worked as the Pentagon correspondent for Voice of America and Sightline Media Group, which owns Defense News and Military Times.
NADIA BILASSY-CHARTERS
Nadia Bilbassy-Charters is an award-winning international journalist, foreign correspondent, author, and Washington Bureau Chief for Al Arabiya News Channel. Over nearly four decades, she has reported from conflict zones, presidential institutions, and diplomatic forums, becoming one of the Arab world’s most respected voices on U.S. foreign policy, international diplomacy, and global affairs. She has served multiple terms as president of the White House Foreign Press Group, representing international correspondents covering the United States.
MARGARET BRENNAN
Margaret Brennan is the moderator of "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan" on CBS. Based in Washington, D.C., Brennan is also the Network's chief foreign affairs correspondent and a contributing correspondent to 60 Minutes. Brennan became moderator of "Face the Nation" in February 2018 and quickly became known for her tough but fair questioning of world leaders, politicians, and policymakers. She brings to her coverage of domestic politics a background in national security and financial news.

Daniele Compatangelo was a White House correspondent and the founder and president of the White House Foreign Correspondents’ Association. Based in Washington, D.C., he spent more than 25 years as a foreign correspondent covering U.S. politics, international affairs, and major global events for Italian and international news organizations, including La7, Sky TG24, RAI, Mediaset, Il Secolo XIX, and RSI. His career also included coverage of eight Olympic Games and extensive reporting from the United States, Europe, and beyond.
JAN JEKIELEK
Jan Jekielek is a NYT bestselling author and award-winning journalist and filmmaker. He has worked with The Epoch Times for over 20 years, most recently as senior editor and host of the show American Thought Leaders. He is the author of the NYT bestselling book, Killed to Order: China's Organ Harvesting Industry and the True Nature of America's Biggest Adversary.

Eileen Drage O’Reilly is a veteran journalist with more than 20 years of experience across the U.S., Asia and Europe. Her work spans newsroom standards, AI practices, investigations, international affairs, public policy, and press freedom. She currently is the head of standards and AI practices at Axios.
