Head of Integrated Strategic Communications, Bayer U.S. Pharmaceuticals

Sue Ann Pentecost is the head of integrated strategic communications for Bayer’s U.S. Pharmaceuticals business. In this role, she oversees external communications as one of the top communications leaders for Bayer pharmaceuticals in the United States. Her focus is on leading above brand programs to advance Bayer’s business as well as overseeing internal and external communications programs for the company’s U.S. oncology franchise.

Prior to joining Bayer, Sue Ann spent 14 years with PPD, now Thermo Fisher Scientific, most recently as executive director of marketing where she oversaw many global strategic marketing and corporate communications programs, including corporate branding and reputation initiatives. Her 25 years of experience also includes roles with global public relations firms, Ruder Finn and Porter Novelli.

Sue Ann earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her master’s degree in technical communication from North Carolina State University.

She resides in Raleigh, N.C. with her husband and two sons.
