Jane Isay is the author of Unconditional Love: A Guide to Navigating the Joys and Challenges of Being a Grandparent Today.

Her earlier books include Walking onEggshells: Navigating the Delicate Relationship between Adult Children and their Parents, Mom Still Likes You Best: Overcoming the Past and Reconnecting with Your Siblings, and Secrets and Lies: Surviving the Truths that Change Our Lives. She spent over 40 years as an editor, publishing Robert J. Lifton’s Nazi Doctors, Melissa Fay Greene’s Praying for Sheetrock, Patricia O’Connor’s Woe is I, K.C. Cole’s The Universe and the Teacup, Antonio Damasio’s Descartes” Error, and Buzz Bissinger’sFriday Night Lights.

An executive VP at Basic Books, Simon& Schuster, Addison Wesley, Putnam, and Harcourt, she has served on many nonprofit boards, including The New Press, Journalist and Women Symposium (JAWS), and several university presses. She serves as co-chair of the Advisory Committee of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the Mount Sinai Medical School and Hospital System.
