Shayla Voncile Gibson is a seasoned career professional serving in multiple business leadership roles over her 18 year career. Shayla currently serves as Director, Program Management in the Chief Operation and Technology Office at Fannie Mae based in Washington, DC. In this role, Shayla is responsible for the operational and strategic management of IT Services and comprises the workforce and talent management, financial reporting, planning, governance, communications and engagement.

Prior to this role, Shayla served as a strategic communications Advisor to the Chief Operating Officer, providing strategic internal and executive communications support to over 3,500 employees working in technology, operations, security, data, workplace and resiliency. Her extensive communications experience prior to joining Fannie Mae includes serving as Director of Communications for Bloomberg Government, where she reported to the CEO and led the communications team responsible for all executive, internal, and external communications.

Shayla previously worked at Lockheed Martin and Commonwealth Consultants. Shayla has a Masters in Strategic Communications and Public Relations from Georgetown University and a Bachelors of Arts from Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She is an active volunteer and previously served on the Board of Directors for Prevent Caner Foundation.
