Reporting on Climate Change: What to Know About the UN's New Climate Science Report

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – the United Nations’ climate science body – is gearing up to release its report on the physical science of climate change later this summer. IPCC reports have presented the gold standard for climate science for over thirty years, and this year's report will provide an updated “state of the science” at a pivotal moment for global climate action. Join this briefing to learn more about the IPCC, the upcoming report, and its significance for global climate policy heading into COP26 this November. Brief presentations will be followed by a Q&A with Ko Barrett, Vice-Chair of the IPCC and Senior Advisor for Climate at NOAA, and Pete Ogden, Vice President for Energy, Climate, and the Environment at the United Nations Foundation.
