US Opioid Crisis: Emerging Interventions & Policy Implications
This workshop/educational event was organized by the AFC-USA in partnership with COLUMBIA | SIG (Social Intervention Group).
On October 15, 2019, a panel of multi-disciplinary experts in the area of substance abuse disorders discussed the current opioid crisis in the US, emerging treatment short and long-term treatment interventions, and address needed public health and policy actions to accelerate prevention and cross-sector engagement in the management of the crisis. Moderated by the distinguished journalist, Atul Singh, Founder, CEO & Editor-in-Chief, Fair Observer the panel sims to inform and engage journalists other key stakeholders in an exchange pertinent to the US and settings across the globe.
